New Jersey’s own Thursday – lead singer Geoff Rickly, guitarists Steve Pedulla and Tom Keeley, bassist Tim Payne, keyboardist Andrew Everding and drummer Tucker Rule – have built a loyal grassroots following on tour and over the Internet since the release of their album debut in 2000, Waiting (on the indie Eyeball imprint). Constant roadwork in support of their next album for Chicago’s Victory label (Full Collapse in 2001) brought Thursday to Island in 2002. As the band joined the Vans Warped Tour, War All the Time followed in September 2003, peaking at #7 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, on the strength of its top 30 Modern Rock Track and video, “Signals Over the Air.”
